Vision Assistant
Vision Assistant is a health professional who possesses comprehensive knowledge and experience in vision management, and to assist Ophthalmologist and Optometrist in prevention of blindness. A Vision Assistant supports people affected by various refractive errors to understand and manage the condition. During vision assistant course student will learn how to use and calibrate equipment such as Retinoscope, Auto-Refraction, Keratometer, Lensometer, Monometer, Slit-Lamp etc. to assess the refractive error. Student will also learn the contact lens insertion and removal process so as to teach and demonstrate concerned patients and make them understand how to maintain the hygiene of contact lens case, the schedule of wearing contact lens plan as prescribed by their Ophthalmologist and Optometrist.

Certified Vision Assistant can work in various domains of healthcare like eye hospitals, ophthalmic private clinic, various optical retail shops, online lens company as certified vision assistant and various NGO’s. You can join as a vision assistant goes up to ophthalmic in charge in hospitals. In optical retail stores as a vision assistant and grow up to store manager.
